The Museum of the Contemporary American Teenager (MOCAT) is hosting a Battle of the Bands for high schoolers across the DMV. Over the course of several rounds, the bands will compete for the favor of the audience and their peers alike. They compete for a chance to perform on the National Mall in Washington, DC on the Fourth of July Weekend during the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. This final showdown will determine, once and for all, the ultimate champion of the galaxy. At MOCAT, we believe that music and bands are a vital part of teenage culture. We hope to give teen bands an opportunity to make their voices and music heard. Come to the finals to see who will come out on top!
